ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses a set of activities that includes a wide range of memorabilia representing different hobbies. These might include knitting needles and wool, a fishing net, board games, camera, records and compact disks, football paraphernalia and art materials. Some of the hobbies described by group members may be suitable for demonstrating to the rest of the group. For example, creative activities (such as making greetings cards), photography or football skills can be demonstrated, and collections can be displayed or explained. In each case, once the hobby, collection or activity has been demonstrated, the person is encouraged to say more about what they enjoy about it and how they might like to develop it in the future.
