ABSTRACT

One key thing that most people have an opinion on is whether or not they enjoyed their time at school. Discipline can be a sensitive topic – people may have experienced being picked on by teachers and subjected to harsh treatment due to having difficulty with their lessons. Participants are invited to describe the school rules and punishments for breaking them if they’d like to, and to express an opinion on whether these rules were fair. This chapter discusses a drawing activity to encourage people to draw a picture of themselves at school. It also provides a sound activity in which sounds in the playground or on the sports field are recorded.
