ABSTRACT
The basic mistake of most research on the relative roles of heredity and environment in shaping the human mind has been that it ignores the development of psychological processes. It has now become sufficiently clear to all that psychological processes do not make their appearance in finished form and do not remain unchanged throughout a person's life.
