ABSTRACT

The chapter reveals two paradoxes: First, the United States, the country of origin of modern public relations, Facebook, Twitter, and Google, seems to be losing today the cyber information war and world communication dominance. Second, the Western agencies and PR consultants help the governments of “illiberal democracy” to defend and even promote this hostile and competitive eversion of the political system (Latest case: June 2018: Burson-Marsteller and Edelmann sign contracts with “illiberal” Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs to defend/promote our foreign policy aims and strategy).
