ABSTRACT
Chapter 9 discusses oil and gas extraction in the Barents Sea, largely as a result of sectoral and state interests, also highlighting the role of Nordic-state dirigisme, or Nordic-state capitalism, and its large popular underpinning and the redistributive role assuring this.
