ABSTRACT

Tiered approach to service delivery is growing increasingly more popular as a result of federal legislation emphasizing the use of universal, secondary, and tertiary student support. This model has largely been used to target academic and behavioral concerns; however, there has been increasing research investigating the applications of this model to other concerns. This chapter will discuss using a tiered approach to training pre-service school psychologists and provide context for the current limitations of pre-service training. This chapter will also discuss the critical components of training necessary for school psychologists and how the incorporation of technology can support achieving these training goals. This model will be discussed using a case example of the framework in practice.
