ABSTRACT

Leadership is a journey that takes us through a series of stages of development, each of which we need to master before progressing onto the next one. As such, developing as a Transpersonal Leader pre-supposes that we have mastered being a Robust Emotionally Aware Leader. As we develop as a leader our motivation shifts from being motivated by our own achievements, through enabling others to deliver what is required of them by the organisation, to collaborating with others to make an even greater difference. Motivated people are happier, put in more discretionary effort and are also more likely to stay with the organisation. Effective stakeholder engagement is founded on a win/win mentality, which means that success is mutual and relationships are long term. Organisations are living systems and living systems evolve naturally. Transpersonal Leaders sense energetic shifts and tune into the wider system to see patterns and identify what wants to emerge.
