ABSTRACT

The basic trends in studies of the problem of female employment are determined by their role in the development and utilization of labor resources. One of the directions of research seeks to reveal the relationships between general trends in the utilization of labor resources and the specific features of a given population group. It should be noted that the redistribution of female labor resources between the socialized and private sectors may be either absolute or relative, which must be taken into account in evaluating the qualitative composition of additional labor resources. An analysis of the development of female employment shows that production factors are decisive among all the diverse elements affecting changes in the employment situation of women. The influence of production factors on the level of employment of women is especially apparent in the geographic aspect. The development of women's occupational specialization is characterized by the ever greater penetration of female labor into different types of work.
