ABSTRACT

This chapter presents activity to teach students how to actively advocate for the minimization and potential elimination of the use of microaggressions that compromise the integrity of clientele from minority populations. This activity is suited for counseling students and counselor trainees. It assists participants in learning how to advocate for social change that has the potential to minimize and ultimately eliminate the use of microaggressions. This activity takes approximately 30–45 minutes. The length of time needed to complete the activity may be impacted by the number of members in the group. This activity can be conducted in a general classroom setting. Participants should be arranged in a circle.
