ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with a course activity aimed at master’s-level counseling students. The activity concerns development of advocacy initiatives for counseling students to work with a selected population of their choosing. The chapter lists the learning objectives, and presents the setting and materials needed for the activity and a set of instructions for conducting the activity. The learning objectives are: recognition and development of social justice initiatives; promotion and empowerment of human development; and understanding and deeper appreciation of advocacy efforts. At the end of the activity, the participants have to debrief the activity, and for this purpose, the chapter presents a set of helpful questions and prompts for the participants.
