ABSTRACT

This chapter presents a course activity aimed at graduate counselors and counselor educators in training in order to help students develop a greater understanding of social justice advocacy and how they can empower individuals who are systematically disadvantaged. It lists the learning objectives of the activity, the setting and materials required for the activity, and a few instructions for conducting the activity. The participants have to create a digital story and use the slideshow presentation software, digital media, and computer to put together their digital story. The chapter also presents a note on a discussion to be conducted by the participants after their course activities have been completed. The learning objectives include increasing self-awareness through students engaging in reflective practices and dialogue of their internal and external experiences, and promoting students to decode their reality and unveil myths about their reality.
