ABSTRACT
This chapter can be divided into two broad parts. First, in sections 11.1 and 11.2, we give a virtue-theoretic account of knowledge, and also justification, by employing the concept of skill and the related concept, competence. We then go on, in sections 11.3, 11.4, and 11.5, to consider implications of our conclusions for broader theorizing about skill and competence.
