ABSTRACT

A key best practice for CCCTTs is effective instructional design, which should include a robust debrief that guides trainees to reflect on learned skills and connect them to past experiences and future applications. In this chapter, readers will be introduced to debriefing, discover the rationale for debriefing, and learn best practices to facilitate a successful debrief. Subsequently, CCCTTs should be able to design more effective trainings that promote skill acquisition and transfer of learning.
