ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the role of diagnosis in improving organizational communication, interventions, outcomes, and profit through an interdisciplinary approach, including the field of communication, organization development, business, and consultancy After laying a foundation for understanding diagnosis, several significant processes, methods, and models are presented in addition to lessons learned in the field. Focused benefits are highlighted for internal and external consultants, faculty, and trainers as well as ways to use diagnosis as a profit strategy.
