Let’s look back through history in order to understand the development of recent Norwegian music. You once said that national romanticism had been unduly prolonged in Norway and that many famous Norwegian cultural personalities—Hamsun and others—had sympathized with national socialist movements in Southern Europe. What’s your view on the cultural legacy in Norway?
