I intend to argue that all o f these proposals and propositions put forth are not mutually exclusive neither are they contradictory as such. There is something important in the analytic scheme and explanatory coherence that laces them together. For all this to be meaningful, there is need for a philosophical and theoretical framework that animates the historico-material context for the understanding o f the national question in Nigeria.
