ABSTRACT
For most students in middle and high school, the research or term paper is a required-although not especially welcome-assignment. This chapter provides an introduction to an alternative to conventional forms of report writing: multigenre reading/writing projects. Multigenre projects are invitations for students to gather information from multiple resources and transform it by creating artifacts in a variety of genres.
