ABSTRACT
Workplace aggression continues to be a pervasive problem that can be associated with significant negative outcomes for employees and organizations. This chapter examines how workplace social capital, the social resources created by and embedded in relationships at work, can contribute to a positive, healthy work environment. The importance of relational leadership and structural empowerment for developing positive, inclusive social capital at work that fosters cooperation and reduces workplace aggressive will also be discussed.
