ABSTRACT
It is normally said that there are three main types of exposure: transaction exposure, translation exposure and economic exposure. This is not strictly correct as transaction exposure can be defined as merely a sub-set of economic exposure. However, it is useful to make the distinctions between the three, as it is to order them from the easiest to the most difficult to perceive.
