ABSTRACT
I am grateful to all who took it upon themselves to organize, edit and contribute to this book. It is certainly gratifying to have been deemed worthy by one's colleagues and students of what is a great honor. At the same time there is a feeling of sadness because, in effect, it signifies and marks the end (or approaching end) of one's active career, even if one intends to continue working — as I certainly do.
