ABSTRACT
This chapter provides an introduction to the application of isotope bioarchaeological approaches to the historical period, and a discussion of the role of isotope bioarchaeology within historical archaeology. It includes background information on isotope systematics, key case studies and applications, and a commentary on possible future directions.
