ABSTRACT

Physical preparation and conditioning players (and teams) are some of the main priorities for basketball coaches when devising training programmes. The “Strength and conditioning for basketball players and teams” chapter overviews training principles and training methods which have immediate applicability in basketball. Additionally, physical abilities relevant to the basketball game are discussed (with clear examples and on-court drills provided for how to implement them in practice) and the authors propose the concept of integrated training from a basketball perspective.
