One of the strong purposes of working with resilience from a mentalising perspective is that it give us everyday language and imagery that enables us to be able to help people who are experiencing serious problems. In this chapter, two psychologists give examples of their experiences with The Resilience Programme, as they worked with two youths who were undertaking therapy in a youth centre. This obviously concerns more intensive and extensive courses, but the fundamental tools in use were exactly the same as those used with the general public. Aside from this, the stories in this chapter illustrate how resilience work can correlate with other methodological approaches seamlessly.
