ABSTRACT

This chapter examines how change is perceived by three UK FBOs engaged in action on climate change who assert their integrity as part of global civil society. It appraises what influences and inspires their understandings of change in the context of action on climate change. The chapter investigates the role of faith identity in how change is understood and the resources and experiences which contribute to these perspectives, drawing on notions of justice and solidarity in line with liberation theology. Finally, it examines how the FBOs engage their supporters in action to create change and what the potential impacts are for the wider civil society response.
