ABSTRACT

This chapter provides an account of things noted, by the Japanese ambassadors, in Milan and in Pavia, and about their entry into the city of Genoa and the voyage to Spain. The ambassadors describe about the splendor of the buildings in Milan, as well as the crafts made in Milan. They witnessed that European kings and princes do not in any way allow their men to be inactive or grow soft, but rather keep them trained and practised in military discipline, not permitting anything to interfere with the order and organization of their way of life. The ambassadors also share their experience of their journey to Spain.
