ABSTRACT
Twikit has developed a configurator for Mr. Maria, a Dutch company led by two designers from their office in Amsterdam. The entrepreneurs are known for the iconic Miffy XL lamp, which is a hit in children's bedrooms. The lamps are characters featuring different cute personalities, such as Nanuk the polar bear, a Japanese girl called Kokeshi, and Leila the cheetah. Twikit had developed a solution that is generic and works for different kinds of industries. The interface of the configurator is only a part of this solution as the engine behind it enables a direct link to production facilities. The stand-alone solution includes everything to get the company started with selling customizable products. The website can be tweaked with brand content and links to a checkout system for payments. The lamps are individually packaged in a colorful, shock-resistant matching tube, and they are shipped worldwide, direct to the customer.
