ABSTRACT
3D interactive configurators allow customer to visualize products online. Clients have the ability to load and remove all of their new and existing product data in the 3D Source repository. 3D Source is a company which creates photorealistic 3D content, software, and tools for the manufacturing industry. The company offers a variety of services including 3D modeling, 3D animation, 3D texturing, custom 3D interactive software, and 3D configurators. The virtual photography platform provides on-demand production of photorealistic product images from the library of 3D models. Customers enter the virtual design tool and can choose among several fictional rooms in which they can visualize a sink and faucet. The 3D Source technology was used to realize the configurator for Elkay, a manufacturer of stainless steel sinks for residential and commercial use. 3D Source had about 15 meetings with Elkay as well as weekly conference calls with their marketing team.
