ABSTRACT

A systematic method, Job Load and Hazard Analysis, has been developed to identify safety and health problems inherent in work. The concept of hazard survey of the workplaye entails the screening and the analysis of hazards inherent in the work and evaluation of their impact on workers's health and well-being. The Job Load and Hazard Analysis include four stages: information collection, evaluation of the findings, conclusions and proposals for preventive measures, and follow-up. The analysis yielded an overall assessment of job loads and hazards, which was summarized from the results for all the analysis. The study showed the differences in job loads and hazards, and thus provided the basis for more specified occupational health care. The procedure of Job Load and Hazard Analysis includes such features as worker involvement, group problem solving, and the organized co-operation of health and safety staff with the production management and with the worker representatives, an approach which improves the usefulness of the analysis.
