ABSTRACT

This chapter describes the undisturbed working system for mounting and dismounting which is defined as "standard condition". According to analyses of the data it is essential to show the cause-effect-relations by comparing the standard versus the actual conditions. The interviews were carried out in the different farming regions of the Hannover Chamber of Agriculture. The contact with the farmers was established via the local agricultural extension services. Their advisors were asked to inform the members about the accumulation of accidents when mounting and dismounting and to announce the planned project in their monthly periodical. The objective of the study is the development and application of a suitable questionnaire method to gain information as comprehensively as possible on near-accidents from farmers and their co-workers. According to Leplat, an accident is caused by a misfunction in the man-machine-environment-system. The causes of this are changes to the usual situation at the work place.
