ABSTRACT
This concluding section highlights some issues that permeate earlier discussions but could not be addressed fully within the confines of the previous chapters. Specifically, it addresses: 1) the intersections between health and economic issues, and 2) selected major themes that are touched upon at various points in the other chapters. There will be no attempt, however, to summarize materials presented in those other chapters. This section also contains a series of unanswered questions as well as recommendations for future research. It continues to build on conference discussions and the ideas stimulated by participants and by information in the body of this volume.
