ABSTRACT

The funeral for the eight-year-old had not gone according to expectations. At the close the minister demanded, “Are you saved? None of us know how long we have. We could be back here next week for your funeral.” He insisted that everyone bow their heads and close their eyes. “We know that little Julie is in heaven with Jesus, her personal Lord and Savior! But if you were lying in this casket this morning, where would your soul be? Heaven or Hell? Julie made the choice for Heaven! That’s the choice you must make if you ever, ever want to see her again. You can accept Jesus right here, right now in this funeral home. Repeat these words after me, ‘Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. . . .’” That was a funeral ritual many attending will never forget.
