ABSTRACT
The premise of the developmental perspective is that the supervisor, supervisee, and the supervisory relationship grow, evolve, and change over time. Supervisors find that this perspective makes intuitive sense, and it offers a useful conceptual framework for planning supervision sessions, setting goals, and tailoring the supervision to meet the unique needs of supervisees (Campbell, 2006).
