ABSTRACT

Born in DesMoines, Iowa, on April 24, 1917, Dr. Allan L. Friedlich graduated from Dartmouth College summa cum laude in 1939 and from Harvard Medical magna cum laude in 1943. After three years in the Air Force in World War II, he joined the staff of the MGH in 1952. Dr. Friedlich went on to develop an international reputation as a consulting cardiologist.
