ABSTRACT
"Soon after I arrived, I was scrubbing with Dr. Marshall Bartlett. After breaking two or three sutures, I looked disgustedly at the broken tie and Jenny, Dr. Bartlett's long time scrub nurse, said, `It's not the suture, it's just the jerk on the end of the knot.' This relieved the tension and I became a good assistant."
