ABSTRACT
Dr. Holly Smith [Lloyd H. Smith, Jr., MD] returned to the MGH from his position as chief of Medicine at the University of California in San Francisco to speak at a reunion of MGH medical house staff in 1994 (one year after the MGH and Brigham and Women's Hospital merged to form Partners). Despite his lengthy absence he still called MGH home, and thought he had left the institution in responsible hands.
