ABSTRACT

There is no dispute that young people in many European countries are drinking more than their predecessors and that drinking for intoxication or drunkenness is a major driver. The UK is one country near the top of the drinking league on all measures as consecutive ESPAD studies have shown and as skilfully described by Barbro Andersson and Björn Hibell as well as Salme Ahlström, in, respectively, Chapters 3 and 4.
