ABSTRACT

Let me first explain the peach. Think of the stone of the peach as the nonnegotiables or givens that a leadership team has negotiated and agreed as being not open to challenge by other levels of leadership or employees. In doing so, the team has had to negotiate why some aspects of a strategy or change are in its gift. The members of the team have also explained to themselves their legitimacy to assume their right to take a position and are ready to explain their rationale to others.
