ABSTRACT
In this chapter we review research completed by YouGov on behalf of Engage for Change which establishes important criteria to further develop effective leader and employee engagement. In particular, the research provides insight into the leadership characteristics and capabilities that are needed by leaders at every level in order to inspire and support effective engagement amongst others. These attributes are further reviewed and developed in the next chapter.
