ABSTRACT
This paper introduces four suggested archetypal categories of criminal organisation, each with its own different and distinct cultural characteristics. It then assesses the interactions between these and the strengths and vulnerabilities of each. It concludes with a brief assessment of the organisation and varying cultural characteristics within law enforcement agencies and considers in their turn, their interaction strengths and vulnerabilities when dealing with different kinds of criminal organisation.
