ABSTRACT
Non-offensive defense (NOD) is one among many terms for a concept that conceives of a military posture and strategy possessing sufficient defensive but no offensive capabilities. The process of implementing NOD refers to a simultaneous strengthening of defensive and weakening of offensive postures, strategies, and capabilities.
