ABSTRACT
A key component in the study of emergent contemporaneity in the early modern press is the interrelationships between various publications which reused one another’s text. In so doing they established a form of consensus on the noteworthy contemporary events at any one moment. At the same time, variations in the redaction of reused text aord us an insight into ideological stance and editorial practices of early journalists.
