ABSTRACT

This chapter offers a history of the immigration of residents of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Slovenia and their more or less successful integration and organization, and discusses some transnational practices linked to ethnicity, religion, politics and culture. it also provides an insight into Slovenian legislation, the authors of which are not in favor of immigration and integration. We will also summarize the obstacles that make it difficult for Bosnian immigrants to create transnational social fields to successfully integrate into Slovenian society.
