ABSTRACT
There is good reason to be interested in the work of Margaret Cavendish at the present moment, for her writing raises many of the questions which have concerned English Studies in recent years. In what ways does women’s writing alter our view of the early-modern period? What kind of interventions with other writings of the period does it provide? For example, what sort of configurations of subjectivity and sexuality does Cavendish’s writing offer?
