ABSTRACT

This chapter argues that in terms of subject scope, is preservation management. Many of the sources contain suggestions for further reading and bibliographies of older material, some of which may still be of interest and use. Web sites are published and maintained by a variety of organizations with an interest or active role in preservation management and associated subjects. Conservation Online is a most comprehensive Web site in terms of coverage of preservation for libraries, archives and museums. It is produced by the Preservation Department of Stanford University Libraries and thus has an emphasis on North American sources but also includes much of broader worldwide interest either in its content or via links. Many Web sites of national or regional associations, organizations and libraries contain information of interest and use to those in countries elsewhere. The Southeastern Library Network is a not-for-profit library cooperative providing resource sharing for the educational, cultural, and economic advancement of the southeastern United States.
