ABSTRACT
Though CEECs lag behind in the internationalization process in comparison to Western European countries, this issue is gaining in importance not only due to globalization and the EU integration process but also due to the transformation from planned to market economy and companies’ restructuring. With the start of transition, further internationalization was not only a challenge but also a need to succeed in the economic transformation process. Internationalization became a key to sustained growth, especially for small economies.
