ABSTRACT

What has sport design to do with sport in post-disaster intervention? As we have learned from the introduction, design in its broadest sense includes the design of environment, the design of interaction and communication, and it can also include policy. This interpretation is transferable to the design of sport programmes. The quality of a sports programme is dependent on the environmental, cultural and personal premises considerations in connection with the aim of the programme. Therefore the success of a sport project and its sustainability depends not only on the environment but upon the project design that has been the basis for its performance.
