• The Sinbad Voyage Tim Severin 1982 The voyage was undertaken to find out whether Sinbad had really sailed from Arabia to China in the ninth century. A 'boom' was built in Oman according to contemporary shipbuilding specifications and the crew lived and ate like sailor's in Sinbad's time.
