An unregistered organisation formed in 1897 with a membership of 166; became branch of the Bristol, West of England and South Wales Operatives in 1899.

BATTERSEA VESTRY EMPLOYEES LABOUR UNION Reg. 981 Formed 1894 with 202 members; by 1896 it had joined the National Amalgamated Union of Labour but appears to have seeded the following year with 304 members. In 1898 with 345 members it met at the Lecture Hall, Lanseer Street, Battersea. In 1900 with 367 members it finally joined the Municipal Employees Association.
