ABSTRACT

Injuries in professional sports cost organisations billions of US dollars every year. In addition, comes the personal traumas for the players affected by the injuries where they miss games and critical periods in their careers. Accordingly, appropriate systems and regimens for injury rehabilitation is a natural part of elite sport, and all teams have this in place. From an injury-risk perspective, have to look at the key evidence about injury-risk reduction. There is evidence surrounding excessive overload and also specific movement strategies in relation to increased injury risks in certain actions. What goes on in the brain of an athlete really influences their physiological responses. The psychology, the cognitive function, and the overall player well-being stems from what goes on inside the brain. Without the brain or understanding what is going on inside the brain there is no performance. In general, well-being is a reflection of an athlete’s overall psychological state.
