ABSTRACT

One of the best suggestions that I received had to do with organization. Someone told me that when I photocopied articles early on and throughout the graduate school process, I should attach a sheet of paper to each article and make notes as to the general content of the article, the theoretical viewpoint, the findings, and any instruments used. Those cover sheets saved me skimming through mountains of articles or retracing my steps to find “the name of that one instrument that I remember reading about two years ago that would be perfect if only I could remember the title!”
